People who have a gambling problem are able to apply to the Independent Gambling Authority to be barred from entering the Adelaide Casino or gaming areas of nominated hotels and clubs. If you wish to be barred, you will need to come to the office of the Authority for an interview, to be photographed and to complete some forms (the VBC, VBG and VBZ forms are available here). If you live in a remote region of South Australia and attending an appointment in Adelaide is impractical, you should call the office to see what arrangements can be made. The first step in applying to be barred is to make an appointment by calling (08) 8226 7233. A time can be made to see you within 7 days. Once you have made your appointment, it will help if you give some thought to listing the particular venues from which you need to be barred. You are able to bring a friend or counsellor along to attend the appointment and to give you support. It will be necessary for you to bring some current photo identification with you when you come for the interview. If you do not have any current photo identification, you should discuss this when you call to make your appointment. You

forms.
